A Georgia police officer died Sunday after suffering a medical emergency as he headed home from work.
Grantville Police Cpl. Kevin Enfinger was returning home at around 5:30 p.m. following a patrol shift, the department stated in an online post. While he was driving, he suffered an apparent heart attack, and a passerby found him in the median.
The bystander performed CPR on Enfinger but could not revive him. Enfinger was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Enfinger served the department for four years and worked as a field training officer.
